Mr. Bennet - the country gentlemen that he is - is seen here sporting a full-length banyan great coat in gray. The coat is light and provides minimal coverage against the elements but it does provide the everyday man with a sense of style and freedom of mobility.
Underneath, he wears an eight-button vest over his traditional white shirt peering out from under his chin and at the wrists. Breeches cover him the rest of the way down and end just past the kneecaps. From there, he wears his full length socks on down into his shoes.
Though quite the basic wardrobe arrangement, it allows the country gentlemen the freedom to roam his estate and perhaps even take up his shotgun and dog to hunt some game.
