As a person with the highest social standing in Pride & Prejudice, Lady Catherine de Bourgh makes her presence known through both speech and dress. When her mouth isn't going on and on about the trifles of life and her opinions of them, annoying even those close to her (nephew Darcy), her dress speaks volumes about the woman she is in Austen's time.
Lady Catherine wears the best that inherited wealth can buy, seen here as her outfit of choice when attending Collin's parish. She is dressed highly conservative and her small stature is capped with a tall-standing hat in a fashion reminiscent of the Mad Hatter.
She keeps her hands warm by way of a large fur-covered warmer. Her dress is adorned with subtle details as needed.
