Lizzy's friend Charlotte Lucas takes a slightly different approach to her appearance at the community dance. The empire-waisted, full-length dress is still the call of the day but Charlotte's features elaborate embroidery at the ends of each cap sleeve and around the neckline. The dress is relatively featureless all the way down to the floor. Her arms are covered over just past the sleeves with elegant full-length gloves.
To accentuate her look, Charlotte uses a collection of similar pearl-based jewelry made up of the headband, earrings and a tight-fit necklace.
She wears her hair in a contemporary fashion, divided down the middle and pinned at the sides. Most of her hair is collected behind her head, held in place by the band.
